* 63 General Outpatient Clinics of Department of Health and 17 general
practitioners
#Complication refers to aseptic meningitis, encephalitis (brain infection),
myocarditis (heart infection), acute flaccid paralysis, rapidly
deteriorating clinical course and death
As at 6 July 1998, there are 1 confirmed and 6 suspected cases of
enterovirus 71 infections. All presented with mild symptoms and made full
recovery.
