Anthrax has been reported in the province of Dongfang, Mongolia.
On 27 May 2000 a woman in Herin county became ill after eating infected
meat and was hospitalised. The disease was confirmed on 1Jun 2000. A
tracing investigation by the provincial authorities is in hand.
