2000/151 Potato stolbur phytoplasma occurs in Poland [edited]
--------------------------------------
In Poland, potato stolbur phytoplasma (EPPO A2 quarantine pest) is subject
to official control. The Plant Protection Inspection Service [annually]
inspects more than 20 000 hectares of potato crops. The first 3 foci of
potato stolbur phytoplasma were detected [in 1997 and] in 1998, 8
additional foci were found. Measures have been taken to eradicate the
disease and prevent any further spread. The situation of potato stolbur
phytoplasma in Poland can be described as present only in some areas, under
eradication.
