A total of 4 people ill with typhoid have been identified in Lyaylyak
District of (southern Kyrgyz) Batken Region. Results were positive for 2
servicemen of a border outpost who were tested for typhoid.
A resident of the village of Ay-Kol, Usmanova, was also taken to hospital
with the same diagnosis. The [source] of the infection is being established.
