There have been 2 [recent] cases of yellow fever (YF) in Piaui State and
one suspect case in Para State. As a result, Tocantins state [which borders
on those 2 states] is implementing mass vaccination in 7 municipalities to
block the entrance of YF into the state, which last recorded a YF case in 2001.
