Background Data on Incidence of Mumps in Scotland

[The following background data on mumps in Scotland has been extracted from
the GIDEON database by Dr. Steve Berger.]
Routine immunization was introduced in 1968. Routine immunization
(Measles-Mumps-Rubella triple vaccine) is given at age 12 months, and [a
booster at] 3 to 5 years. During 1990 to 2001, infant vaccine coverage ranged
from 85-92 percent.
