BACTERIAL RING ROT, POTATO - UK (ENGLAND) (02): CORRECTION

A previous post to ProMED-Plant (reference below) stated that the current
outbreak of bacterial ring rot of potato caused by _Clavibacter
michiganensis_ subsp. _sepedonicus_ was the 3rd outbreak of the disease in
the UK. That was erroneous and I apologize for the mistake. In fact there
have been only 2 outbreaks of ring rot in the UK, the 1st originating in
Wales in November 2003 and the 2nd in England (Herefordshire) in August 2004.
I am indebted to Richard McIntosh, Plant Health Division, Defra, for noting
the error.
