Vice-premier, minister of agriculture in Nagorno-Karabagh has informed that
African Swine Fever (ASF) has spread within the Askeransky and Martakertsky
districts. He indicated, however, that cases of the disease are recorded
also in the other districts of the republic.

[Nagorno-Karabagh is a de facto independent republic, officially part of
the Republic of Azerbaijan. Its population is predominantly Christian, pigs
being a significant part of agriculture. This, similarly to its neighbour
Armenia, but in difference with predominantly Moslem Azerbaijan and Iran.
