Thank you for your timely posting of the TAHC [Texas Animal Health
Commission] news release.

The case in Texas was caused by VS-New Jersey serotype, as were the
outbreaks in 2004, 2005, and 2006.

Please credit this work to Dr. Sabrina Swenson, Bovine, Porcine, and
Aquaculture Viruses Section Head, Diagnostic Virology Laboratory,
National Veterinary Services Laboratories, Veterinary Services,
APHIS, USDA.
