Deux (2) hippopotames sont morts du charbon
bactérien suspecté sur l'île de Nkibanga dans la
zone de Kalangala. La zone est entourée par le
lac Victoria. La mort des hippopotames porte le
total de mort à 14 depuis le début du mois de
juillet 2010. Le député de Kyamuswa, Moïse
Kabuusu, a dit que les chefs de zone n'ont pas
établi si les animaux sont morts du charbon
bactérien. Récemment, beaucoup d'hippopotames
sont morts du charbon bactérien suspecté dans la
partie occidentale de l'Ouganda. Les autorités de
la faune de l'Ouganda étudient la cause de la mort des hippopotames.
